Value of strain analysis with feature tracking in dobutamine stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging for detecting coronary artery disease
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background Dobutamine stress magnetic resonance (DSMR) has been established for the detection of coronary artery disease (CAD) due to its high diagnostic accuracy and prognostic value. The novel technique feature tracking (FT) analyses regional myocardial strain and thereby offers detailed information about myocardial deformation. The purpose of this study was to examine how FT based circumferential strain (CS) compares to visually detected wall motion abnormalities (WMA) during DSMR and whether it adds beneficial information for detecting CAD.

Purpose: To assess the relationship between the severity of coronary arteries involvement and the extent and pattern of myocardial scars in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance of patients with history of remote myocardial infarction. Materials and Methods: The Cardiac Magnetic Resonance images of sixty patients with history of remote ST segment or non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction were ...
متن کاملCost-effectiveness of dobutamine stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in stable coronary artery disease - a post-hoc analysis
Background Dobutamine stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (DCMR) was not an established test for coronary ischemia in 2003/2004. Meanwhile, long-term outcome has demonstrated a strong prognostic value of negative DCMR testing (Kelle et al. JACC CVI 2011). However, only limited data are as yet available about reimbursement for and costeffectiveness of DCMR in patients with stable coronary ...
متن کاملCoronary Artery Spasm During Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography: A Case Report
Dobutamine stress echocardiography (DSE) has been widely used as a diagnostic and prognostic modality in the management of stress. DSE is associated with limited complications and adverse effects on the health of patients. In this case report, we described a 42-year-old female patient with dobutamine-induced coronary artery spasm with history of exertional dyspnea, which had deteriorated recent...
متن کاملPrognostic value of cardiac magnetic resonance stress tests: adenosine stress perfusion and dobutamine stress wall motion imaging.
BACKGROUND Adenosine stress magnetic resonance perfusion (MRP) and dobutamine stress magnetic resonance (DSMR) wall motion analyses are highly accurate for the detection of myocardial ischemia. However, knowledge about the prognostic value of stress MR examinations is limited. We sought to determine the value of MRP and DSMR, as assessed during a single-session examination, in predicting the ou...
متن کاملMagnetic Resonance Imaging During Dobutamine Stress for Detection
Background Quantitative measurement of wall motion is essential to assess objectively the functional significance of coronary artery disease. We developed a quantitative wall thickening analysis on stress magnetic resonance images. This study was designed to assess the clinical value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) during dobutamine stress for detection and localization of myocardial ischem...
